Lichi
Lychee, also spelled litchi, is a tropical fruit native to Southeast Asia, specifically China. It has a rough, pink-red outer skin that is easily peeled to reveal the translucent white flesh inside. The flesh is juicy, sweet, and aromatic, with a floral flavor profile. Each lychee fruit contains a single large seed in the center.
Lychees are often enjoyed fresh, though they can also be used in various culinary applications such as desserts, salads, and beverages. They are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, making them a refreshing and healthy snack option. Lychee trees thrive in warm, humid climates and are now cultivated in many tropical and subtropical regions around the world.
